Built Lifestyles Enters Liquidation Amid Ongoing Construction Sector Strain

Vanguard Insolvency’s Mohammed Najjar appointed liquidator after Built Lifestyles ceases trading with no active projects

Sydney-based residential builder Built Lifestyles Pty Ltd has entered liquidation, bringing an end to 15 years of operations in the city’s high-end home construction and renovation market.

Mohammed Najjar of Vanguard Insolvency Australia was appointed liquidator on 21 October 2025, following the company’s voluntary winding up earlier in the week. Built Lifestyles’ contractor licence was cancelled the following day, and all trading activities have ceased. The liquidator said that the company had no active projects at the time of collapse and that investigations are underway into the events leading to its insolvency.

Co-founded by Deniz Huseyin and interior stylist Gamze Erkoru, Built Lifestyles specialised in custom homes, duplexes, and structural renovations across Sydney’s eastern suburbs and Sutherland Shire. The company reportedly owes more than $300,000 to creditors, including subcontractors and suppliers, many of whom are expected to face shortfalls.

The liquidator said his immediate focus will be to assess the company’s financial position, recover assets for creditors, and determine whether any recoverable claims exist. A first meeting of creditors will be convened in the coming weeks to outline the company’s financial position and next steps.
