ACCC flags higher airfares after Rex entered voluntary administration, stopped servicing Sydney-Melbourne-Brisbane routes

A report on domestic airline competition from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has warned that Aussies may be looking at higher airfares between the nation’s large cities after Rex’s withdrawal from key major city routes due to less competition for major players Qantas and Virgin Australia.
