Altus Renewables - Voluntary Administration

Altus Renewables, Australia’s leading producer of sustainable wood pellet biomass, entered voluntary administration on 11 August. The company’s high quality wood pellets are used by large-scale power generators to produce a reliable source of renewable energy that can displace coal. Robert Smith, Matthew Caddy and Jamie Harris of McGrathNicol were appointed joint administrators. The appointment was referred to them by DLA Piper, the company’s legal advisor. Subsequent to administration, John Park and Ben Campbell of FTI Consulting were appointed receivers and managers of the business.
