Ansa Homes - Liquidation

NSW builder Ansa Homes entered liquidation on 27 August, leaving at least 45 homes unfinished and creditors owed approximately $3 million.

Peter Moore and Andrew Spring of Jirsch Sutherland were appointed liquidators and said that the major catalyst was the suspension of the company’s building licence by the Building Commission NSW, which resulted in cash flow issues and led the company to effectively cease trading prior to their appointment.

The suspension came after Building Commission NSW found evidence of defective building work and improper conduct during inspections at the company’s sites earlier this year, halting all work. All staff have been stood down.
