Australia’s second-largest private hospital’s fate to come in August

Healthscope’s lenders are expected to decide in early August between a roughly $400 million consortium bid that would divide its remaining 27 hospitals among several operators and the receiver-backed PurposeCo not-for-profit proposal, as McGrathNicol seeks the best recovery on approximately $1.6 billion of debt while preserving hospitals, jobs and services.
