Australian Fiduciaries Limited Group - Receivership

The Federal Court has widened its intervention in the Australian Fiduciaries group, appointing Matthew Charles Hudson and Terry van der Velde of SV Partners as receivers to SRI Fiduciaries 2 and 3 on 4 September 2025 and freezing their assets as part of ASIC’s probe into $160 million raised from around 600 retail investors, many through SMSFs.
The Court pointed to evidence of missing records, failures to conduct valuations, and unexplained transfers overseas.
With these latest orders, nearly the entire group—spanning 30 entities tied to three managed investment schemes—is now under liquidation, freezing orders, or receivership, as the receivers prepare to report back within 45 days on how investor funds were used.
