Australian Travel Deals - Voluntary Administration

Australian Travel Deals trading as Traveldream, a Melbourne-based travel agency, entered voluntary administration on 28 April, with Bill Karageozis of McLeods appointed as administrator.
The company, which is owned by Melbourne businessman Christopher Banson, operated exclusively through its website and sold discounted flights, international tours and cruises.
Since being appointed, the administrator has released a report detailing $1 million in payments flowing from Traveldream to Saltwater Properties, another company owned by Mr Banson, over four years.
Meanwhile, Mr Banson is blaming a separate wholesaler, My Travel Experience, for Traveldream’s collapse, saying Traveldream met its obligations and paid in full for customer bookings, and that it was My Travel Experience that failed to pass the funds on to hotels and airlines.
