Bowen Coking Coal walks away from Bluff coal mine and leaves rehabilitation to state government

Liquidators of Bowen Coking Coal have disclaimed the mining lease, environmental authority and exploration permits for the Bluff coal mine in central Queensland, leaving the state government to take control of the abandoned site and manage rehabilitation through its Abandoned Mine Lands Program.
