Castlemaine State Festival - Voluntary Administration

Castlemaine State Festival, one of Victoria’s longest-running multi-arts festivals, entered voluntary administration on 26 March.

The company suffered major financial losses from its 2023 festival due to heavy rain and flooding caused by La Niña, as well as post-COVID challenges including diminished supply pipelines.

Robert Woods and Glen Kanevsky of Deloitte were appointed as administrators and are assessing options available to preserve the festival going forward.
