A year after the collapse of Beston Global Food Company, which left 41 dairy suppliers owed about $10 million, affected farmers and the South Australian Dairyfarmers' Association are calling for insolvency law reform to elevate milk suppliers to secured creditor status and force earlier administrator intervention, as the ongoing liquidation is expected to deliver little or no further recovery to growers despite government assistance and the transfer of supply to new processors such as Bega.
