FRM Cafe Pty Ltd trading as The Orchard Penrith - Voluntary Administration

FRM Cafe Pty Ltd trading as The Orchard Penrith, a popular Western Sydney restaurant and wedding venue, entered voluntary administration on 16 December 2024. 

Graeme Beattie of Worrells was appointed voluntary administrator and said that a period of challenging market conditions, including rising operational costs, changing consumer behaviour, and reduced discretionary spending had all contributed to the company’s financial position and the decision to appoint Mr Beattie as administrator.

He intends to trade the business while conducting an urgent financial analysis and determining next steps.

Unfortunately, it appears that the Penrith Council has rejected a previous request to extend the restaurant’s closing time from 5pm to 10pm, and increase the cap on patrons from 200 to 300.
