Furry Meatball Pty Ltd and Floss Bottom Pty Ltd - Voluntary Administration

Furry Meatball Pty Ltd and Floss Bottom Pty Ltd, the companies behind popular Melbourne venues The Carlton Club and The Windsor Castle Hotel, entered voluntary administration late last month, with Rachel Burdett and Shaun Matthews of Cor Cordis appointed as administrators.

The Carlton Club is a restaurant, nightclub and rooftop cocktail bar on Bourke Street in the CBD, while The Windsor Castle Hotel is a pub near Chapel Street.

Publican Tracey Lester, who has operated both pubs for over two decades, brought in the administrators after the venues struggled in the post-COVID period. The administrators then commenced an urgent review of the companies’ financial positions and sought expressions of interest. 

Ms Lester has reportedly proposed a DOCA, although the outcome of the creditors’ meeting is currently unclear.
