Future of famed Mount Isa Rodeo unclear despite Queensland government bailout

The Crisafulli government has granted the Mount Isa Rodeo a lifeline, committing $2 million to the local council to support the event. Administrators Michael Brennan and David Stimpson of SV Partners said at least $2 million was needed to pay back creditors and run the event in the future. The administrators will meet with creditors for a final time no later than late January 2025.
