GDK Group et al - Liquidation

GDK Group et al, four companies forming part of a larger group which operates a Sydney-based joinery and manufacturing business, with offices in Melbourne and Hong Kong, were placed in liquidation on 5 December. Jonathon Colbran, Tristana Steedman and Richard Stone of RSM were appointed liquidators. The companies’ collapse comes after several other members of the group were forcibly wound up by the ATO. The liquidators stated that these four firms likely have claims of over $15 million, of which at least $500,000 is owing to the ATO. The cabinet manufacturing factory located in Sydney’s Wetherill Park has reportedly closed, with about 30 staff terminated.
