Healthscope hospital sale enters final stages

Healthscope’s receivers are pushing for a rapid sale of the collapsed private hospital group, with a deal reportedly about to be announced that could return lenders up to 55 cents in the dollar as bids exceeding $600 million are weighed from Calvary, Ramsay, St John of God, Epworth and others for Healthscope’s portfolio of hospitals following its $1.6 billion collapse.
