HS Fresh Food Group - Case Update

Ben Campbell, Joanne Dunn and Vaughan Strawbridge of FTI Consulting, the voluntary administrators of HS Fresh Food Group, have sold the multi-branded Australian farming, food processing and manufacturing business to rival PM Fresh Food, with the sale expected to complete by the end of the month.

The Tasmanian-headquartered group, which specialised in ready-made meals and snacks, entered voluntary administration on 14 June. The voluntary administrators ran a sale process, which resulted in a number of expressions of interest and non-binding indicative offers, but the PM Fresh offer was deemed to be the best offer received.

How many of the group’s approximately 500 workers will be offered employment remains unclear at this time and will not be known until transition plans are finalised. Until then, the group will operate under the control of the administrators.
