Indonesian company Ithaca Resources secures $200 million deal for Vitrinite assets

Indonesian miner Ithaca Resources has agreed to acquire Vitrinite’s Bowen Basin assets, including the Vulcan coal mine, for nearly $224 million, with the transaction expected to repay employee entitlements and support a restart of operations four months after the $400 million collapse.
