Isaac council puts miner Vitrinite's $2.2m unpaid bill on hold amid collapse

Isaac Regional Council has agreed to pause efforts to recover $2.2 million in unpaid coal haulage fees from Vitrinite following the Central Queensland miner’s collapse into administration and receivership, allowing the company to prioritise payments to local suppliers while receivers KordaMentha continue operating the Vulcan mine and prepare a sale and recapitalisation process.
