Kimberley Meat Co changes hands, hopes to be operational in 2027

Canadian-owned Yougawalla Pastoral Co, part of Alberta Investment Management Corp, has completed its long-delayed $55 million acquisition of the Kimberley Meat Company and parent Yeeda Pastoral Company, paving the way for $20 million in plant upgrades aimed at reopening the Broome-area abattoir by late 2026 and restoring full operations in 2027.
