Maali Group - Voluntary Administration

Maali Group, one of the largest Indigenous-owned contractors in Western Australia, entered voluntary administration on 12 March.
Until recently, the company employed approximately 300 staff and 20 apprentices and trainees, almost a quarter of whom are First Nations people.
Rob Kirman and Rob Brauer of McGrathNicol were appointed as administrators, having been referred the matter by the company’s director following an introduction from an industry participant. They are seeking to sell or recapitalise Maali Group under a compressed timeline (within five weeks) to minimise disruptions.
Third parties have reportedly already made offers.
