Marquee Retail Group and four related entities - Voluntary Administration

Marquee Retail Group, the Sydney-based owner of fashion brands Colette and The Daily Edited (tde.), and four related entities entered voluntary administration on 2 April.
The companies cite rising interest rates, inflation and a downturn in sales over the past several months, which created issues with a debt arrangement with the ATO stemming from the COVID era.
Domenic Calabretta, Mitchell Ball and Richard Lawrence of Mackay Goodwin were appointed as administrators and are reportedly pursuing the sale of the business as a going concern while Marquee works on putting forward a DOCA to keep its stores open.
