Modular Brewing formerly trading as Golden West Brewing Co - Voluntary Administration

Modular Brewing formerly trading as Golden West Brewing Co, a Perth-based craft brewer, entered voluntary administration on 28 February, reportedly suffering from the cost-of-living crisis as well as the closure of several breweries in Sydney and Adelaide.

Administrator Mathieu Tribut of GTS Advisory said that the company had undergone a minor restructuring in 2023 to clear its debts and continue trading, but that turnover had dramatically dropped in January and February, causing the company to have insufficient capital to continue trading.

The administrator confirmed the brand may potentially be restructured, and that he expects the business to reopen in the next couple of months.
