Moves and Promotions — Week of 21 July, 2025

Sean Holmes and Grant Sparks have joined Alvarez & Marsal as Managing Directors in Sydney. Both previously held senior restructuring roles at Deloitte and bring deep expertise in corporate turnaround, special situations, and complex insolvency appointments.

Laura Nyhan has been elevated to Associate Director at SV Partners in Brisbane, while Bryan Zaldarriaga has been promoted to Senior Manager – Restructuring, Turnaround and Insolvency at PKF.

Gemma Garrash, who has been with Shaw Gidley since 2019, is now a Manager at the firm’s Newcastle office. Meanwhile, Amelia Russell, formerly with SV Partners, has joined WLP Restructuring in Brisbane as a Manager, bringing with her a portfolio of SME and corporate insolvency experience.

Jonathan Raciti has joined Wexted Advisors as a Senior Analyst from Jirsch Sutherland in NSW, while Sarina Fair has joined Rose Litigation Lawyers on the Gold Coast from Scoglio Law.

Aston Chace is growing its Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround practice with the addition of Kamini Muniandy and Jhenien Valmonte as Assistant Managers. The firm also welcomes Graduate Accountants Andy Li and Dominic Naidenov, Undergraduate Accountant Oliver Wahbe, and Office Manager Hanna Haubold, bolstering its bench strength across senior and junior levels.
