Moves and Promotions — Week of June 30, 2025

At Deloitte, Aidan Gordon steps into the role of Partner in Perth, bringing years of experience guiding businesses through complex turnarounds. In Melbourne, Isabella Cardaci has been promoted to Director, while Scott McGrice assumes the Director role in Adelaide. Ella Phillips (Tasmania) becomes Manager, and Sam Williams (Brisbane) moves up to Analyst.

Over at KPMG, Colm McKeon (Sydney), Campbell Munro (Brisbane), and Derek Tang (Melbourne) have been elevated to Associate Directors within the Turnaround & Restructuring team. Rising stars Toby Schultz (Perth) and Emma Smith (Melbourne) become Executives, while Marina Sarunic (Sydney) is promoted to Manager.

In the mid-tier space, Hall Chadwick welcomes Nick Wollinski to the partnership, while Ben Ho earns his place as Partner at WLP Restructuring. At RSM, Shannon O'Connor (Perth) is promoted to Director, and Alex Brendish (Melbourne) advances to Analyst in the Restructuring & Recovery team.

Cathro & Partners continues to grow, with Natalie Hall joining as Senior Manager, following her time at KordaMentha. Meanwhile, Merchants Advisory has promoted Richie Smee to Senior Manager, Nicole Roche to Supervisor, and Andrea Gautama to Intermediate Accountant. At WA Insolvency Solutions, Mariana Pereira rises to Senior Manager and Puvan Nadaraja to Supervisor.

KPT Restructuring celebrates the promotions of Allison Menzies to Manager, Jennie Eriksson to Senior Accountant 2, and Alex Naidenov to Intermediate Accountant 1.

In the advisory ranks, Max Sinclair becomes Manager – Restructuring Advisory at Grant Thornton, Amanpreet Bawa steps up to Manager at Taylor Insolvency, Jimmy Tet Hin Chong takes on Supervisor – Restructuring & Recovery at Vincents, Jens Andres is named Senior Analyst – Restructuring at McGrathNicol, and Michael Scharf has been promoted to Senior Analyst – Insolvency at Pitcher Partners.

The legal sector has also seen significant moves. Rebecca Hanrahan joins the partnership at Clayton Utz, while James Morgan advances to Partner and Robert Carter to Senior Associate at Mahoneys. Stephanie Davies (Harwood Andrews) and Michael Mulvenna (Henry William Lawyers) both become Special Counsel.

At Swaab, the Insolvency & Litigation team sees Kellie Van Munster rise to Special Counsel, William Clement to Senior Associate, and Ramesh Chamala to Associate. Norton Rose Fulbright has promoted Simran Chawla (Sydney) and Stephanie Hogarty (Melbourne) to Senior Associates in its Restructuring & Insolvency team.

In Victoria, Christopher Puljevic has been promoted to Senior Associate at King & Collins and named a Rising Star by Doyle’s Guide for Commercial Litigation & Insolvency in 2025. Dejan Vangev (Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams), Bianca Tramaglino (Lynch Meyer), and Zoe Batiste (Allens) also step up to new roles as Senior Associates and Associates.
