The NSW government has refused to lift its fixed charge over Tahmoor Coal’s mining leases until GFG Alliance pays $29.4 million in overdue royalties, leaving the already shuttered mine tied up in the wider GFG insolvency fallout as a winding up application brought by Coal Mines Insurance heads back to court in December.
