Okami - Voluntary Administration

Okami, a popular all-you-can-eat Japanese chain restaurant, placed 16 of its locations in voluntary administration on 22 December. The company cited the effects of the pandemic and rising inflation as leading to a decline in sales. Philip Campbell-Wilson and John McInerney of Grant Thornton were appointed joint administrators, and are continuing to trade the business while they consider a formal restructuring plan. The affected restaurants reportedly employ approximately 250 people.
