Paradise Rum and Civil Projects Australia - Liquidation

Paradise Rum and Civil Projects Australia (formerly trading as The Paradise Rum Bar), which operate a distillery at Warana and a bar and bistro at Mooloolaba in the Sunshine Coast, entered liquidation on 16 January. The company, which recently opened the Mooloolaba location in June, cited the economic downturn, including escalating energy costs, excise taxes and costs of goods, as well as a sharp decline in consumer spending, as the reasons behind its decline. Anne Meagher of SV Partners was appointed liquidator.
