Planet Ark Environmental Foundation - Voluntary Administration

Planet Ark Environmental Foundation, one of Australia's largest environmental non-for-profits, entered voluntary administration on 28 April, with Michael Jones and Bruce Gleeson of Jones Partners appointed as administrators.
The foundation was behind environmental campaigns such as National Tree Day and National Recycling Week. It was established in 1991 by Jon Dee, who left in 2007 and now serves as Chair of the Forest Stewardship Council, and tennis legend Pat Cash.
The administration follows a board review of the foundation’s financial position, which revealed struggles related to the current economic environment, the lasting impacts of the pandemic and ongoing funding challenges. Mr Dee has reportedly spoken to administrators and is interested in seeing what can be done to save the organisation.
