Prawn operator A Raptis & Sons to shut after no buyer found, with regional communities bracing for fallout

Seafood giant A Raptis & Sons Group, which entered administration in March, will be wound down after administrators failed to secure a buyer or recapitalisation, with the collapse of Australia’s largest wild-caught prawn operator, driven by weak trading conditions and funding pressures, set to result in more than 200 job losses and broader supply chain disruption.
