Quasar Constructions - Voluntary Administration

Quasar Constructions, a Sydney-based construction company, entered voluntary administration on 23 September.

According to its website, the company’s latest projects include Carmel Village Shopping Centre and St. Patrick’s College Sutherland.

Quasar was reportedly working on ten projects across Sydney and the Illawarra, including the new Western Sydney International Airport, when it collapsed into administration owing $60 million to its creditors.

A spokesperson for the airport said the buildings Quasar was hired for are nearly finished and being completed by primary contractor Aerowest as well as various subcontractors.

Sule Arnautovic of Salea Advisory was appointed voluntary administrator.
