Fraser Coast Hospice has narrowly avoided voluntary administration after $360,000 in last-minute corporate donations allowed the Hervey Bay palliative care facility to remain open, preserving about 20 jobs while its board seeks longer-term funding to meet annual operating costs of about $720,000.
