Quintis Australia and various subsidiaries - Voluntary Administration

Quintis Australia, the world's largest producer of Indian sandalwood, and various subsidiaries entered voluntary administration on 3 April. This marks the second administration for the companies, which previously appointed administrators in 2018.

The news also comes after Quintis Leasing, the entity responsible for the leases of the plantation lands, entered administration in December 2023 following a KPMG report which concluded that the projects were not financially viable and would have cost investors more than $30 million to complete. That company is now in liquidation.

Scott Kershaw and Richard Tucker of KordaMentha were appointed as administrators.

FTI Consulting were appointed as receivers and are seeking interest in the sale and/or recapitalisation of the business.
