Redback Technologies - Voluntary Administration

Redback Technologies, a Queensland-based inverter and battery company, entered voluntary administration on 8 March, after just having participated in the Smart Energy Conference in Sydney and promoting its new Hybrid Battery System days earlier.
Anthony Connelly, Jamie Harris and Mark Holland of McGrathNicol were appointed as administrators, having been referred the matter by one of the company’s directors.
Less than six months ago, the company said it was inspired by a combination of rising electricity costs and falling rooftop solar feed-in tariff prices to cut prices across a range of its batteries.
The administrators are working with the company’s employees, suppliers and customers while seeking expressions of interest.
