Roberts Co (VIC) - Voluntary Administration

Roberts Co (VIC), the Victorian arm of builder Roberts Co Australia, entered voluntary administration on 14 March, with Matthew Caddy and Jason Ireland of McGrathNicol appointed administrators.
The company has completed various major residential, commercial and industrial projects across Victoria. It was working on several projects at the time of the appointment — including most notably a giant Amazon distribution centre in Craigieburn and a large build-to-rent development in Footscray for Investa and Oxford Properties — but reportedly faced significant cashflow issues.
Roberts Co Australia’s losses in the Victorian company are believed to exceed $60 million. The administrators are negotiating potential works continuation agreements on some of the major projects.
