Rugby Australia hits back at Melbourne Rebels as it prepares counterclaim

The Melbourne Rebels have issued proceedings in the Federal Court against Rugby Australia after being axed from next year's Super Rugby Pacific competition, but Rugby Australia is striking back with its own counterclaim, alleging the club's directors are attempting to "shift blame for their financial mismanagement".
