Sunshine Private Pty Ltd - Voluntary Administration

Sunshine Private Pty Ltd, the company behind Sunshine Private Hospital in Melbourne west, entered voluntary administration on 27 May.

In a statement to ABC News, administrators Andrew McCabe and Chris Johnson of Wexted Advisors said funding to continue operations was not available, leading to the closure of the hospital.

They have commenced working with management to cancel day surgery operations, notify the Victorian Department of Health, and relocate patients to other hospitals. Limited staff have been retained on a short-term basis to assist in an orderly wind down of operations.
