WA government admits to $500k spend on legal fees as part of Griffin Coal's insolvency

WA Auditor General Caroline Spencer said that "commercial in confidence" and "legal professional privilege" arguments were given by the Government when it refused to hand over the invoices for legal advice given by 18 lawyers at Ashurst when Griffin Coal became insolvent, calling this a “worrying situation”.
