Wittner - Voluntary Administration

Wittner, a footwear brand with a rich Australian history, entered voluntary administration on 16 April.

The company, which has been in business for 112 years, says it recently experienced strong growth in sales, but that this has been eroded by rising wages, occupancy costs, challenging trading conditions and supply-chain disruptions.

Sal Algeri and David Orr of Deloitte were appointed administrators of Wittner Group Holdings, Wittner Retail Australia, and Wittner Retail New Zealand.

Trade is continuing on a business-as-usual basis while the administrators conduct an urgent review of the group’s finances and seek expressions of interest for the company.
