XL Express Operations Pty Ltd - Voluntary Administration

XL Express Operations Pty Ltd and several related entities, a Queensland-based group of companies which operate a logistics service across Australia, have entered voluntary administration, with Kelly Trenfield, Joanne Dunn and Ross Blakeley of FTI Consulting appointed as voluntary administrators.

The company was founded in 1990 and eventually expanded its services into all mainland states, ultimately developing regional branches and an Australia-wide delivery service.

200 jobs are believed to be at risk, while the administrators have said they are conducting an urgent review of the business. Neither the company nor the administrators have commented on the reasons for its collapse.
