Precious Cargo Education - Liquidation

Precious Cargo Education, an Adelaide-based Montessori childcare chain with seven locations across South Australia, collapsed into liquidation on 1 October.
The chain previously entered voluntary administration in early June with the goal of finding a buyer, citing “sector-wide challenges” that the business had not been able to overcome.
On 8 July, ASX-listed Mayfield Childcare agreed to buy Precious Cargo’s seven operating centres. The sale has now completed, and Anthony Phillips and Andrew Heard of Heard Phillips Lieberenz, already the voluntary administrators, were appointed liquidators.
