Roberts Co - Voluntary Administration

Roberts Co, one of two joint venture partners recently chosen to build Perth's new maternity hospital, entered voluntary administration on 9 May, together with various subsidiaries. FTI Consulting has been appointed to oversee the administration.
This is not the first insolvency for the group, whose Victorian arm also entered administration in March.
The WA branch was selected in December to help build a new $1.8 billion Women and Babies Hospital in Murdoch, reportedly due to its hospital infrastructure building experience. Construction has not yet begun, and the company’s voluntary administration has raised questions into the proposed 2029 opening.
Meanwhile, WA Health Infrastructure Minister John Carey said the government has confidence in Webuild, the 70% joint venture partner, to deliver the project.
